Singin’ Broadway Cast

Karen Anglin began her acting career in 1996 in The Music Man under the guidance of her mother. She continued to perform locally in numerous plays throughout the years. Most recently you may have seen her in one of ITC’s many comedies Arsenic And Old Lace, Saga Of Roaring Gulch, Treasure of Shiver River, Always A Bridesmaid or last year’s Singin’ Broadway.

David Cortiza is a Miami-based electronic singer, songwriter, and performer who is on a lifelong mission to inspire, empower, and uplift people through the power of musical storytelling. Over the span of two decades, David has gained extensive experience as a performer. Within that time, he has been featured on various American and Spanish TV shows along with performing in Singin’ Broadway.

Carolyn Davis spent the last 30 years teaching and directing theater.  She has had roles in Hello Dolly!, South Pacific and Once Upon A Mattress.  Her favorite directing experiences were You Can’t  Take It With You, Grease, The Footsteps of Doves, and Twelfth Night. This is Carolyn’s second year in Singin’ Broadway.

Glenn Davis sings with the Marco Island Community Chorus. Glenn made his return to the stage in last year’s Singin’ Broadway after a 48 year absence.  He was “discovered” while floating aimlessly at sea somewhere southwest of the Babuyan Islands.  This Marco Island Senior Softball player and his wife, Carolyn, are now full-time island residents.

Craig Greusel, a Marco resident and island favorite, who continues to bring audiences to their feet with his powerful performances as Don Quixote in Man of La Mancha, Barnum in P.T. Barnum, and Victor Frankenstein in ITC’s Frankenstein: A New Musical, returns to the stage once again for Singin’ Broadway.

Jae Kellogg has been teaching music for over 34 years prior to retiring from Purdue Musical Organizations as an Assistant Director.  Jae was Choral Director/Arranger/Accompanist for the PMO Choral groups! Landing in Naples/Marco Island area, she was very fortunate to musically experience TheatreZone, and Naples Players, with her piano skills. Current activities on Marco include the Marco Island Shell Club/Shell Show Chair, Keyboard in the New Life Community Church Praise Band and now her first  experience with the Island Theater Company! She and her husband Patrick live full-time on a sailboat in Goodland!   ITC Is grateful to Jae for stepping in during these crazy times.

Edie Pagoni-Sawtelle, wife, mom, special needs advocate and actress, Edie has performed in leading roles in numerous shows, such as; Chicago, Godspell, Grease, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and Gypsy.  Edie has become one of Marco’s an audience favorites and is back this year with a few numbers that are sure to bring back lots of memories.

Lily Philbrook is new to Singin’ Broadway. This 9-year-old 4th grader is from Cumberland, Maine whose home away from home is Marco Island. Lily was last seen on a big stage at Maine State Music Theatre, representing The Lullaby League in The Wizard of Oz (2019). Since then, she has been working on her skills – at socially distanced and virtual theater camps (Portland Ovations, Breakwater, Ogunquit Playhouse), dance lessons (Drouin Dance Center), and voice lessons (Jaye Churchill). Lily would like to thank the Island Theater Company for giving her this chance to do what she loves.

Jean Rowles is one of the Co-Founder’s of ITC. She has an extensive background of musical theater, both on the stage and behind the scenes. Her favorite roles include Marian the Librarian in The Music Man and a directing/performing stint in Smokey Joe’s Café.  She is thrilled to be performing once again in this year’s Singin’ Broadway.

Joe Verga has held various roles in such shows as Les Miserables, Man Of La Mancha, Mary Poppins, Carousel, and most recently in How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying. This is Joe’s third year in Singin’ Broadway and we are always thrilled to have him back.

Kate Whitson-Alves has been singing from a very early age and has been in shows such as Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Meet Me in St Louis, Guys and Dolls and ITC’s Frankenstein: A New Musical as Elizabeth.  Kate was last seen as Auntie Em in our production of The Wizard Of Oz.  Kate works as a professional in the aviation industry and resides on Marco.
